As you now, we enjoy watching local TV newsreaders. But we have to admit we were a little surprised to see a familiar face on local Las Vegas television news while we were there.

As far as we can tell, Andy Gobeil was named morning anchor at KVVU Fox5 in February. Here's his little bio, where there's no mention of him working at crappy WHNS Fox 21, "The Ten O'Clock News," where they pronounced "The" like "Thee" and make it sound they're God's gift to teevee viewers.

Here's a more complete bio on Gobeil, who always seemed a bit light in the shoes to us, if you know what we mean (not that there's anything wrong with that). But he brags about pulling some Gs in an F-16 and having a couple of kids, so he must be a real McManly Man Anchor Man out in Vegas.

Like they say in Vegas, Andy - Good luck.
