What you should know about Zylotrim

And from the dark secluded valleys

I heard the ancient songs of sadness

But every step I thought of you

    Every footstep only you

And every star a grain of sand

The leavings of a dried up ocean

    Tell me, how much longer?

    How much longer?

Is Buncombe GOP Chairman Johnson stepping down?

This video is titled "Buncombe GOP Chairman Dr. Timothy H. Johnson departs his post," but in the video, Johnson never says anything about stepping down. Still, Ashvegas readers confirmed a week or so ago that Johnson was quitting because he and his wife are moving to Durham.

Johnson made history in Buncombe County after being the first African-American to be elected to the local GOP's top post. Earlier this year, Johnson was elected vice chairman of North Carolina Republican Party.

But Johnson's rise to the top hasn't been without controversy. His election to the statewide party post was sullied when news was leaked about Johnson's criminal past - he was convicted of beating his wife. Then people started questioning his academic degree (the "doctor" reference).

What's the bottom line? It's this: the local Republican Party is now leaderless and remains in shambles well after last year's elections, a 2008 beat-down that still stings.

The Buncombe GOP is neither leaderless, nor is it in shambles. Things are going quite well actually.

Actually the party is in better shape than I have seen it in 6 years. We are more diverse and have a group that will not play with the power brokers as in the past.

The state will be much better off and Buncombe will continue to upset the old time power brokers that are losing their grip each day. This is true in both parties. Thank God for that. All I ask is that those that wanted to see Tim's dd2 what ever and degree get off thier butts as ask to see the birth certificate of Obama....

We are a group that are loving the principles and will apply them.
