New wedding venue at the Biltmore Estate is a stunner

    Biltmore pixies

I'm surprised that I haven't heard more about this in local media or among local wedding photographers and wedding business peeps. But there's big news on the local wedding venue front: the Biltmore Estate has recently unveiled the stunning Diana. Folks in the local hospitality industry got a sneak peek last week, I'm told.

The wedding industry is huge for Asheville. I don't have good numbers to back that up, but I just know from what I read and see that tons of people come to Asheville just to get hitched in our beautiful mountains. So the entry of this new venue is big.

I haven't been to the actual venue. But I've been to the Biltmore about a gazillion times, and I'm always impressed. And I know that when the Biltmore Estate offers up something new, I know they've put a lot of thought and planning into it. So I let them describe the Diana at Biltmore:

Our newest venue is ideal if you seek the best of everything: the best views, the best location, and the best amenities for your guests. Set on a high hill near an elegant marble statue of Diana is a picturesque outdoor location that reveals sweeping views of America’s largest home framed by the Blue Ridge Mountains. Surrounded by a shady grove of hemlocks, this private venue offers full guest facilities in addition to spectacular views and an air of exclusivity.

Imagine your guests strolling up wooded, gas-lit paved paths to reach a clearing that offers unmatched views of Biltmore House. And while the location offers the best of indoor and outdoor settings, you can be assured weather will not interfere with your reception. Diana at Biltmore can accommodate events with up to 550 guests for receptions and dinners in an outdoor location.

A permanent herringbone brick floor provides stable footing for a luxurious event tent styled to create a beautiful and romantic setting: chandeliers and flickering candlelight compliment moonlit evenings while flowing draperies frame the incomparable views.

Diana at Biltmore offers a "green room" for bridal parties, proximity to Biltmore House, flexibility for daytime functions, and an evocative atmosphere for evening events. Select this location and picture your wedding day with the grandeur of Biltmore House as your backdrop.

    • Ideal for up to 550 guests for a hors d'oeuvres reception.
    • Ideal for up to 460 guests for a wedding ceremony and seated dinner.

So, has anyone checked it out? Anyone planning on getting married there? Do tell!

I haven't photographed a wedding there but we were up there a few weeks ago and the setting is GORGEOUS! I think it'll make a great venue.
