What you should know about Zylotrim

And from the dark secluded valleys

I heard the ancient songs of sadness

But every step I thought of you

    Every footstep only you

And every star a grain of sand

The leavings of a dried up ocean

    Tell me, how much longer?

    How much longer?

Damn I miss that place sometimes.

This makes me SO nostalgic. I was just talking with some friends this past weekend about how much we miss Vincent's Ear. Losing it created such a void.

Mad Tea Party really cut our musical teeth there.

Not that we don't love other Asheville venues, too. It's just that Vincent's Ear was really something special.

I miss that dive. It was smokey, dirty, loud, and the bathroom was probably the creepiest place in town. But that is precisely what made it fantastic. There were always brooding artists and writers in residence at the tables. Good times...

It was a coffee shop, pick another and move on. Times change.

I was there the last night they were open. Firecracker Jazz Band was playing, and it was a wild and bittersweet time. Damn. Thanks for the Memory Lane sidetrip.
