Anti-war activist Sheehan coming to Asheville

Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan who first made national headlines when she camped outside former president George Bush’s Texas ranch after her son died in Iraq, will be in Brunswick County later this month.
Her stop at the Odell Williamson Auditorium at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 is part of a statewide speaking tour on the peace movement.
She will be joined by retired Lt. Col. Bob Bowman.
Sheehan, an author and 2005 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, will also make stops in Asheville, Statesville, Charlotte and Raleigh.
